Mary Read Middleton and her husband, John, moved to NWA in March 2000 from the north side of Chicago. Since that time, Mary has been involved with many not-for-profits believing that one should live a life of courage, faith, gratitude, integrity and passion and help to make the path of others a little easier to walk. In 2012 she was the first recipient of United Way’s “United Way Volunteer of the Year” award.
Mary officially joined Habitat for Humanity of Benton County in 2013 and became a member of the Board of Directors as well as co-chairing the Family Selection Committee. Mary officially retired in June of 2013. John and Mary live the good life in Bella Vista with their three cats, occasionally traveling throughout the U.S. to visit their five children, family and friends.
