Tell us a little bit about yourself

I am a Christian and I love people. I was born in Norfolk, Virginia while my Dad was serving in the Navy. We moved to Mt. Vernon, IL when I was about one year old. It was an area much like North West Arkansas before all of the population growth. My family moved to the Northern part of Illinois when I was in the seventh grade. Our grand parents had a farm not too far from us that we had many great times at. I have made many friends over the years and worked at many different jobs. I also taught bible classes to all ages of people for several years. I relocated to Rogers, AR for my position at Unilever and retired after 15 years.

What is your favorite part about volunteering at the new ReStore?

I like the room, signs, kitchen , and layout.

How long have you been volunteering with us at Habitat?

1 1/2 years!

What are some of your talents and hobbies?

I enjoy hiking, dancing, community outreach, reading, traveling, teaching, baking, and caring for others.
