Tell us a little bit about yourself

I grew up in the north central part of Arkansas and later moved to many parts of the country with my husband Charles. We lived in Tulsa, OK, Huntsville, AL, Searcy, AR, Beaumont, TX, Syracuse, NE and Park Forest, IL. We have four daughters, nine grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

What is your favorite part about volunteering at the new ReStore?

The openness of the show room, the extra space, and the fact that there are plenty of telephones throughout the building.

How long have you been volunteering with us at Habitat?

Both my husband and I started volunteering in 1996, making this our 18th year! Our first volunteer mission was working with the Methodist Church to build a house for Shirley Thomas in Rogers, AR.

What are some of your talents and hobbies?

Gardening, reading, singing in the church choir, berry picking, doing puzzles, canning, and I also volunteer at the Mercy Hospital once a week.
