Your support will help make their dream of owning a decent home a reality. Wall by wall, house by house we work to eliminate poverty housing and make home ownership a reality, not a dream. Habitat is a hand up – not a hand out. Each homeowner pays a monthly interest-free mortgage payment to Habitat for Humanity of Benton County, and these mortgage payments help to build other homes.
It takes individuals like you, who are willing to give a day, a month or a several days a year to help turn a truck load of construction materials into a new home for a deserving family. Building a home alongside other volunteers and partner families is a great way to be part of something bigger, and no construction experience is necessary.
Habitat for Humanity ReStores are non-profit, home improvement stores and donation centers that sell new and gently used furniture, home accessories, building materials and appliances to the public at a fraction of the retail price. Habitat for Humanity ReStores are proudly owned and operated by local Habitat for Humanity affiliates, and proceeds are used to build homes, community and hope both locally and around the world.
Habitat for Humanity builds more than houses, it builds lives and community as well. This page will answer some of your questions about the process of how a family becomes involved with Habitat in the hope of moving into a new home. The first step is to see if you qualify. *If you would like to meet with with us directly about a new home, please don’t hesitate to call us or come by. You can find our address and phone number HERE.
